Opéra Bastille by OTT Carlos, 1989, Paris

I think this opera is the ugliest one in the world ! I don't understand why it is white, with ceramics on the walls at this very place where the Bastille stand!okay it contains a huge and remarkable room and stage, which is perfect and well designed for singers, but it remains very ugly outdoors.

The Quadracci pavilion in the Milwaukee Art Museum

by Santiago Calatrava, 2001

This building is a must-know of Calatrava's work. It represents at best his aesthetic, based on human beings and birds. The Quadracci Pavillion seems to be a bird flying off, when the burke brise soleil is open.
Calatrava is a brilliant engineer who turns concrete into whatever he wants, like Niemeyer did decades ago.
